Biography

I learned computer programming when I was in high school. That is the reason why I became a computer science engineer. I graduated from a top tech university in Venezuela called Simón Bolívar University. It shaped my brain in a way to think in a structured and logical way. I worked 7 years in the field starting from junior programmer until becoming an IT consultant.  Then I switched industries because I enjoy teaching. I have been working as a teacher since 2006. At the beginning of 2022 I started a master degree in technology and information systems which I am looking forward to completing by the end of 2023. I am enrolled in an online program at Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí in Panama which was the country I was working and living at before being hired by UMA some months ago. I have also lived in Brazil and Costa Rica. I have also taught math for middle and high school as well as for undergraduate level. I am currently working towards my Utah Teacher Certificate as a CTE Educator.
